Bourns Multifuse Product Line Announces the Expansion

of its Model MF-NSMF High Power PPTC Resettable Fuse Series




Riverside, California – December 18, 2023 – The Bourns Multifuse Product Line is pleased to announce the expansion of its Model MF-NSMF High Power Surface Mount Polymeric Positive Temperature Coefficient (PPTC) Resettable Fuse Series. The latest additions broaden the hold current (Ihold) ranges up to 2.0 A and increases the maximum voltage (Vmax) to 60 VDC.

The most recent lineup within the Model MF-NSMF Series employs Bourns’ innovative freeXpansion™ design, elevating the performance of the resettable fuse by incorporating higher hold currents, elevated voltages, enhanced resistance stability, and more compact footprints. These advances cater to various applications, primarily serving as safeguards for low DC voltage ports in USB, HDMI, HDTV, PC, laptop computers, data centers, and portable consumer products. These components are designed to shield against both overcurrent and overtemperature events, up to rated limits.

These new Model MF-NSMF models are RoHS compliant* and hold UL/CSA/TÜV recognition for meeting safety criteria. The TÜV certifications encompass IEC 62319-1 andIEC 60738-1, as well as IEC 60730-1:2013 clause 15, clause 17, and Annex J. These products are manufactured within a Bourns’ IATF 16949 certified facility.
